About the Artist
Kelvin Baldwin is a self- taught artist born in Camden, Alabama. Kelvin attended Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL and completed his degree in Agribusiness.
The arts and artist Kelvin Baldwin have always been synonymous. Dancing, creating music, and painting have all been a part of Kelvin’s life dating back to his earliest recollections. Kelvin Baldwin developed a love for art the tender age of five. He began water painting and sketching images of “characters.” Whether painting his favorite superheroes, or “characters” known as the people who shape his everyday life. Kelvin’s art always captures what he calls the “soulful character” of his subjects. Kelvin started producing art pieces over 20 years ago. He then began displaying his work at various art shows and festivals and galleries across the country. He has commissioned several art pieces for local businesses from restaurants to several office buildings. Kelvin body of work is being exhibited at the Landers Center and is currently featured at the Civil Rights Museum. Kelvin not only have clients nationally but internationally. Kelvin has a passion for color, texture, movement, and design which is expressed in his paintings. His desire is that when someone looks at one of the paintings that they make a connection and enter his world for a moment in time. |
